Decisioning at the information level affords a higher degree of risk management, but are still not as safe as those decisions based upon actionable knowledge. Decisions made at the gut instinct or data level can be made quickly, but offer a higher level of risk.
Fear is dead as a management tool. Day one of the conference was headlined by a highly esteemed group of speakers who didn’t give me nearly what I had hoped for – While there were a few shining stars, and some great sound bites, I wasn’t challenged nearly as much as I hoped to be.
