David asked Becky, “How come no one ever talks about love as a leadership competency?&# While l ove and leadership are certainly two words you don’t often hear in the same sentence, I can assure you that rarely does great leadership exist without love being present and practiced. Talent is clearly a plus as long as it is a value add and not a business requirement. If your company’s long-term business plan requires the acquisition, or retention of the uber employee then your business not only has a risk management issue, but it is likely not scalable.
