Innovative high-technology corporations are currently paying employees large bonuses to recruit top talent.
In 2016, former American Express CEO Ken Chenault tasked chief human resource officer Kevin Cox with finding new opportunities that would drive innovation and revenue growth. Their reasoning: Five years from now, successful companies will increasingly employ innovative business models that no one currently thinks are feasible.
While the aforementioned qualities are certainly admirable, they are only valuable if they influence or create action. Walt Disney, one of the greatest creative talents and true innovators of our time realized the value of action when he said: “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.&# I Think Not.
