I’ve experienced that plenty of times in my career, at one moment preaching about a “BHAG” – the Big, Hairy Audacious Goal – and just a few moments later drilling down and coming to terms on a missed quarterly target) . I can sum that up in three ways: 1) Dream big qualitatively, always.

He had been a frequent visitor to my subconscious throughout my corporate career, always managing to show up at times when I needed him, along with his admittedly peculiar brand of inspiration. . “Pure Imagination”, Leslie Bricusse / Anthony Newley. It was Willy Wonka. In other words, everybody needs a little Wonka in them.
