As a result of our conversation, I decided to dust-off an old post, give it a few updates, and pass along my thoughts, which can be best summarized as “ Ideas Don’t Equal Innovation. “ It is my hope to help dispel the myth that ideas are inherently good things.

Emails, voicemails, instant messages, text messages, blogs, Tweets, Facebook updates, etc., People simply don’t have the time to listen to, or read, unnecessarily long forms of communication. The second trend is technology’s recognition of the first trend. simply don’t lend themselves to the indulgence of pompous grandeur.
If you think you don’t have time to Tweet or Blog, the reality is that you don’t have time not to. Here’s the bottom line: How can you possibly justify not communicating with your key constituents, stakeholders, and influencers in an environment of their choosing, where they are actively having conversations in real time?
Walt Disney, one of the greatest creative talents and true innovators of our time realized the value of action when he said: “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.&# As for you Sir, your thoughts more closely resemble a blog post than a comment…brilliant. He is a truly gifted leader and thinker.
Such leaders craft overall strategies, make critical decisions that define the organization’s structure and future direction, and foster an environment conducive to growth and innovation. Many in this role hold advanced degrees in business administration, finance, or marketing. However, practical experience is equally vital.
If you cannot turn an idea into innovation, if you can’t put thought into practice, it’s not a game changer. If it’s not really meaningful, it’s not a game changer so why do it? Focus on value creation. A ctionable – It’s not a game changer if whatever “it” is never gets off the drawing board.
