One of the challenges with disruption is the 'cultural' balancing act required to attend to a corecompetency (primary revenue driver) while simultaneously recognizing that disruption must occur at the borders. She separated herself from day to day operations: Instead of being intimately involved in all of the inner workings, she trusted her managers to do that and then to come to her with issues and barriers that required her assistance. She coached her team to help them understand the appropriate way to proceed with how the work needed to be done.
