That somebody else kept a pretty busy schedule of his own, working for a fine little cable company called Bresnan Communications in White Plains, New York, as Senior Vice President of Operations. He started his career back in 1982 with the accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney in San Antonio, Texas (yes, the secret Terry was a CPA).

Once upon a time, there was a little girl called Goldilocks…… I’ve done a lot of budgeting, planning, and goal setting over the course of my career. I started as a CPA back in 1982, and was always pretty handy around a spreadsheet (even when they were just 12-column green pads).

After all, I had earned it, having just finished a 28 year run as a CPA, cable company VP of Operations, football stadium project manager, VP of Development for another cable company, and finally, a cable company SVP of Operations. Leaders need to love to solve problems driven by this curiosity.
