I am no stranger to the challenges of candidate management during a crisis. I started my career in executive search right out of college over 13 years ago, so recruiting is work that I’ve always done and always loved. The post Candidate Management During a Crisis appeared first on N2Growth.
With my years of experience as an executive leadership coach, I’ve come to recognize patterns in leadership behavior that can signal danger for even the most promising careers. This behavior can overshadow the preventative measures that maintain a smooth operation. Very few understand why or how to prevent it.
Admiral McRaven was honored to receive this honor in 2011 when he took charge of the United States Special Operations Command. When McRaven retired in 2014, he had 37 years as a Navy SEAL under his belt, leading men and women at every level of the special operations community.
A S a McKinsey & Company article stated in late March 2020: “What leaders need during a crisis is not a predefined response plan but behaviors and mindsets that will prevent them from overreacting to yesterday’s developments and help them look ahead.”. It naturally gives them the tendency to look ahead at or beyond the immediate horizon.
Anyone paying attention to current events has recently witnessed that it doesn’t really matter whether you’re a politician, investment banker, CEO, or just an average citizen, when it comes to making a simple decision, managing a crisis, or attempting to exploit an opportunity, timing is everything.
