Even worse is when those sound-bites are used in an attempt to make statements which embolden a corporate position that doesn’t really even exist to begin with. I Think Not. All of my training and experience had led me to believe that board members, by definition had to be in the latter years of their career, regardless of what other type of diversity they might bring to the table. There are intrinsic and implicit realities that influence behavior, consumption, purchasing decisions and basic expectations.

I have only raised my voice in the workplace twice during my career and both times I have regretted it tremendously. It depends on the person of how He manage his self and His emotions.

I’ve never understood leaders who make heavy investments in personal and professional development early in their careers, who then go on to make only minimal investments in learning once they have reached the C-suite. Forget span of control and think span of influence. Learning and development are lifelong endeavors.
Regardless of where you are in your life and your career, I can promise you one thing; you will consistently be faced with challenges and obstacles along the way. My question is this: have you taken the time to do the necessary planning? You will face physical, mental, financial, relational, and resource challenges among others. I Think Not.

As a CEO you have the ability to influence positive changes, and to make contributions well beyond those who have not been afforded the same opportunities, and it would be nothing short of tragic for you not to clearly understand this. I really do think that people mix the two up on a very regular basis.
A leader’s message has a direct impact on their personal and corporate brand equity, how they manage a crisis, marketing initiatives, investor relations, press and public relations, team building and employee engagement, and virtually any other mission critical area of chief executive responsibility.

Michael Hyatt : To model the five aspects of leadership: insight, initiative, influence, impact, and integrity. Michael Hyatt : Very much so.
Respect is earned by honoring commitments and doing the right thing regardless of opinion, sentiment, or influence. This is a skill I believe many leaders do not develop until later in their careers. It is however essential that you have the respect of those you lead. I know I am still working on it. Thank you for sharing.
Given that I’ve been doing this for most of my career and have made developing great leaders a personal mission, I have to constantly remind myself that not every CEO or executive spends as much of their time immersed in leadership development as I do. Again, executive influence comes into play here.

The confident also succeed in business, but not at the expense of others as do the arrogant. I Think Not.
