If I read your definition correctly, you are limiting game-changers to positive developments or innovations. Class is always in session for me. If you were to pick up one insight it might well have significant value, all the more if you could scale it via your communications. Is that the only way to think of it?
Maybe you can’t travel to campus several hours away or have family and work commitments that won’t allow you to attend classes during business hours. You don’t have to miss a class because you’re traveling for work or take an extended leave of absence. It’s good news for busy professionals, too.
Take a class, attend a seminar, learn a new skill or volunteer for a favorite cause. Then, look for venues in which you can expand your circle with connections that complement your professional life in the same fashion. Keep connections that challenge you, and help morph you into the “rock star” of your business and not just the “groupie.”
