Often what it comes down to is that their manager is not willing to wait for the time it takes my client to make some changes to their leadership. I’m also sorry to say that others – your manager in particular – may not notice your potential for greater things either. You can’t expect your manager to know what you want for your career over the long or short haul. You need to talk to your manager about your career plans and if he can help you with career growth.
