According to a survey conducted by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, over 15% of 634,000 homeless individuals were 50 years or older, and the number of homeless people aged over 65 has been projected to double by 2050.
New research from Simon Fraser University highlights the potential for games to improve matters. When the participants were contacted over the following months, it emerged that those who had played the game had developed a stronger recognition of the various situational causes of poverty, with reduced support for economic inequality.
