Nobody has told you that you need to spend time and effort developing others in your organization. You have too many other things to pay attention to, and besides, isn’t developing leaders the job of human resources? There are lots of reasons to spend time developing leaders in your organization.
Building on the shoulders of such philosophical giants and the subsequent research over millennia, science has further defined, assessed, and developed the concept of character to apply findings to organizational leadership. T HE contemplation of character has engaged great minds reaching back to Confucius, Aristotle, and Plato.
It’s that sense of meaning that inspires us to think of new, innovative ways to do the work. These leaders continually remind everyone — from the janitors to the developers at the company — of how their company is making a positive impact on the world and the role each individual plays in that impact.

Innovation is key to sustainability. This inability to source deals from outside the four walls, and to do so quickly, is one of the main reasons why innovation in so many companies is stifled. By bringing multiple people with a new mindset in, you can kickstart innovation. Innovation is a team sport indeed.
