Everything that is found in documents, systems, process flows and tool kits is “explicit” knowledge that is useful to sustain the business and keep the “status quo”. In fact, most of the content that AI repurposes from online resources is explicitknowledge. That is the tip of the iceberg – visible and accessible.
Understanding the purpose, context and meaning requires something more than simple “explicitknowledge”. In lean terms, doing everything else without knowing the purpose and meaning is a “waste” – because everything that is done without understanding the purpose is a cost.
It represents “explicitknowledge” about project management and a lot of people out there know these fundamentals. How to create a project plan, manage risks, track project, report status is all defined out there and a project manager has to be clear on those fundamentals. That’s the science part of it, and probably the easier one.
That is because most explicitknowledge is widely and freely available now.
