All I want for Christmas is Servant Leadership. Ego’s torn, pride drowned, the power leaders signed out, Their golden parachutes and bonuses now in doubt. Twas the night before Christmas, when all of the staff. Sat on Zoom hoping a leader would come, on their behalf.

Beyond my recreational life (weapons of choice being a tennis racquet and a pickle-ball paddle – on a good day I use both), I’m writing about business leadership, branding and life. Then amongst the board there arose such a clatter, “Ego-based leaders” they said, “no longer matter.”. We’ve ousted the selfish, greedy narcissists, Replaced them with servant leaders, here to assist.”.

And I want to see leaders of public corporations held accountable to their misdeeds (including the forfeiture of any golden parachutes should they or their companies be found guilty of obvious criminal or fraudulent behaviors perpetrated on their consumers). I personally do not want to see us perpetuate this apology economy.
