I edit a newsletter about local government. I heard the term “let” used in two different ways recently. They weren’t about making someone’s pants last longer, but they were related to professional growth. When “let” conveys power. One of our features is “recognitions and transitions.”

Executives at the highest level of the company are quick to check the big boxes. Did I host a strategic planning offsite or a town hall? Did I say hello to a stranger in the cafeteria?
